Legoland Florida will officially open on Saturday, Oct. 15, the theme park under construction in Winter Haven announced Monday.
The window for its debut previously had been narrowed to "sometime in October," but a specific date has now been given to aid in vacation planning.
"I'd estimate 80 percent of the inquiries we've received have been about our opening date," Legoland Florida sales manager Todd Andrus said in a news release. "Guests are all but begging to know the date, so they can book their flights and accommodations, and purchase admission tickets."
Admission tickets can be purchased at www.florida.legoland.com.
Legoland is being built on the site of the former Cypress Gardens park. It will cater to the 2- to 12-year-old crowd and their families with rides, shows and attractions across 150 acres.
