"The Artist" and "Hugo" were the big winners Sunday night at the 84th Academy Awards with five wins each. The top awards of the night went to Jean Dujardin (best actor) and Michel Hazanavicius (best director) for "The Artist," which also won best picture, and Meryl Streep (best actress) for her performance in "Iron Lady." "The Beginners" star Christopher Plummer and "The Help's" Octavia Spencer took home statues for their supporting roles. "Hugo" nabbed several of the technical awards like art direction and cinematography.
